Spiderman, peter parker, or peter pan? - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

I hate to say it, but I really really wanted to give this movie an A. It just didn't make sense. It's like the writers of this movie took all the junk that needed to be fixed in the previous movies, including jealousy, rage, hatred, love, etc... and just plopped it all into one movie, tried to tie about 4 COMPLETELY different plots together, packaged it in a little nice "forgiveness" bow, and said "Alright now let's make another movie just to prove that we can still make money off the Spiderman name." I mean, the random dance scenes were a bit overdone, combined with the cheesy moments, such as the American flag waving as Spidey comes to the rescue, and the goofy lines stated by some of the characters, especially the Cheif of Staff for the newpaper. Also, what happened to all the other characters, they all just kind of sit there and go "Oooooooh Spiderman!" the ENTIRE movie. Not only that, the supposedly "evil" characters didn't seem nearly as harmful as they could've been and the ending just seemed a bit rushed. There was no reason for the "Sandman" to really be after Spiderman at all, nor the strange alienous Venom when you think about it. Venom's purpose is still a bit more clear than the Sandman's but either way, none of the villians seemed to have a reason to be so angry. Maybe the staff writer had a bit of a reason to be angry with Spiderman, but the main person to harbor resentment throughout all the movies was HArry, who in a surprise last minute change of heart helps Spiderman defeat the other villians, not for M.J. as the whole movie has it lead up to, but rather for Spiderman's friendship. Oh my, how heartfelt. With no threat left at the end of the movie, and basically no idea what in the hell just happened to my 2 and half hours and $8, I'm still left to thinking how on earth they're going to pull off a Spiderman 4 and if it will be as much of a plotdumster as this flick. If you really want to see this movie, it's redeeming factors are all about the action and the visuals. Visuals especially; that includes the people who dressed up for this movie only to realize that they should've come in a Pirate outfit.
