Spiderman 3: mediocre and arbitrary - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

I had thought when going into this movie that it would be either be really good or really bad. I was wrong. It was an ok movie with no stand out qualities and a lot of very arbitrary placement. I think that in order for the movie to be deemed good, it should be able to stand on its own without supplements from the comics. Everything in here assumed you knew who everyone was and why they were created the way they were. We're introduced to 2 brand new characters, and none of them get any backstory... They just immediately hate spiderman. Also, whats with the random meteor drop with goo inside? And who does random tests in the middle of the night on sand? It just threw things in haphazardly, nd I couldn't quite wrap my head around it. All told, its not a bad movie. Its just not that good either.
