Spider-man 3 is a stupid piece of trash-w/ good fx - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

The Trailers mad it look so good! My friend and i went to see it the sunday after it came out. And just to show more about coporate america, the theater had three screens all showing 'Spider-Man 3'. We Came 20 minutes early to get seats, adn we ended up pacing around the room for 20 minutes. As far as Tobey McGuire goes, he tries to interpret the sucky script well, almost equalivilent to his roles in Cider House Rules and and equalivilent sucky script with good Tobey being the Good German. James Franco's charecter has no progression, anger or reason behind much. There was a great Bruce Campbell cameo though. Sam Rami, the director, still knows how to use the camera when it comes to action. The Visuals Are Amazing [2008 Oscar Winner!] Now I must Boil Down to the bad part, this is where many movies fall apart-plot! Here it is: Some Random Guy [who happend to of killed Spideys uncle] is chased by the cops and is trying to raise money for his daughter. He slips into some machine thats perpose is unknown, and some how forms into sandman and then goes on a wild ranpage for no aparent reason. Meanwhile Peter parker is going to ask MJ to marry him when a big black piece of goo starts to blend with his suit. He goes on a rampage and 'kills' sandman [only for sandman to comeback later]. Spidey realizes the suit is bad and disposes of it. Meanwhile Peter is having trouble at work with another photographer, who happens to get his hands on spidey's black goo suit, and after this photographer 'eddie' gets the suit, he becomes venom. MJ is having trouble at work and with peter, and Harry becomes the goblin to kill Spider-Man, and uses MJ to his advantage. Oh, Did I mention the 20 minute long Saturday Night Fever dances sequences, yeah, they're there. eathier way it all comes down to a boring sit in the edge of your seat and eat popcorn showdown that really blows. the premise of the film is Peter And MJ marrying, so guess the end--they don't. Anyways the plot is over done, and could have been 3 movies in one [Peter and MJ marrying with Harry in the way; Sandman; and venom] I'm not going for spiderman 4! C+ [i would say C- but the visual FX blow my mind] ~jdrk10
