Ignore the angry nerds, your kids will love it - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

I saw the movie this afternoon and the theatre was FULL of lil kiddies. I didn't realise school was out today or I wouldn't have went so early. Anyway ALL the kids were loving the movie and making a bunch of hollerin and clapping during the fight scenes and such. SO IGNORE THE COMIC BOOK NERDS and remember Spiderman is for the KIDS or the inner kids in all of us!

Spiderman falls flat on its face!!!! - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

While this was hyped up my excitement grew, waited for the First showing at midnight and will tell you my time would have been better spent sleeping... While the effects were great the story and acting were disappointing. It lacks plot and seemed to me the actors have lost their touch that made the First and Second movies great. Wait to see it until it comes out on DVD, or better yet wait till they show it on TV. I thought it was that bad. It may have not been SO bad if it wasnt as long as it was, but the length combined with the VERY POOR story just makes this movie go down as "one of those very expensive movies to go down in history as a flop". That being said, if you have a patient 10 to 15 year old they might find it good and only good. WHAT A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! For the sake of us who like Spiderman I hope they dont make another.

Holy sh!t!!! - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

Disclaimer: don't see this moive - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

Anyone that is a fan of any type of comic book hero will feel like they've just been robbed after seeing this movie. I really don't think they even bothered to edit this movie. At first, Spidey 3 follows the same formula as its predecessors and does alright. The fight scenes were pretty amazing, and that's the only positive thing about it. There are too many plot lines and conflicts that don't follow through. The moive is filled with useless scenes that are supposed to be humorous. The scenes however almost want to make you walk out of the theater, and I'm sure people did. I seriously almost wanted to ask for my money back.

Ok at best... - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

for me its tough to give my true opinion of this movie...i thought that the first one was good and i absolutely hated the second one...so part of me was distinctly set on not liking this movie... anyways with that being said and after truly thinking about it, i can say that this movie is ok at best... to truly enjoy this movie, just treat it as a popcorn flick and dont try to compare it to the first two...even though its better than the second one, it just doesnt live up to the hype and doesnt deliver like it should... the things that drag this movie down, drag it down a great deal... first of all, tobey maguire has become a lousy spiderman...anything that he had going for him in the first movie left him in the second one and in this movie, he pretty much just buried himself...i dont want to give away any plot details or anything but just be prepared for about a 20 minute "My Chemical Romance" music video thrown in about halfway into the movie with the maguire as the lead singer... the focus on villains also is poorly done in my opinion...again i dont want to give the movie away but if you are like me, then you are left wondering what they are planning on doing with one certain villain if anything at all...and if they dont do something, i think there will be alot of unhappy people walking away from this franchise... im gonna start wrapping this up now but i could go on for a lot longer... but this movie contains one brief scene that is one of the dumbest and stupidest things i have ever seen in a movie ever...when spiderman flies in to save the day, he flies across a large american flag and it turns into a brief screen shot...i was about ready to get up and leave right then and there...absolutely pointless and just plain stupid... so i know that most of the world is going to see this movie but when you do end up going, just go for the effects and semi-entertainment...cause this is another movie that does not live up to the hype...

Funny,action, yet missing a good plotline - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

Of course I had to go see the midnight show, and while some will love this movie and others will hate it, I was stuck in the middle. The movie started with the same slowness then it started reaching its emotional state and caught me in it.Special effects were the best no doupt about it, though it was like the spider man 3 movie had to live up to its hype that they created it so it was too gaudy. There are scenes where its just "ok come on thats just for show" The sandman was great but he was just there to make another villain. Venom was another of the villains and yet he was only really needed to be there so spiderman can fight with someone. Not to mention Green goblit jr. there were too many villains and not enough seriousness in the movie to have made it a movie you could watch over and over again because it captivated you..i recommend to go see it..you'll have a good time watching it...but sadly its a one time see movie.

A life-long spidey fanatic says... - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

disapointing. Not horrible, but it gets to be too much. Friends have said I was too harsh on the first two films, which, with minor problems, I still really love. But this one, after a point, it just got to be too much. SPOILER ALERT: Starting off - after a short time, the action kicks in, and its great to see the Harry/Goblin Spidey battle, but visually, parts move actually too fast for the eye to keep up, and other times, the CG is obvious. For the most part the visuals are great though. The problems with the film are more in the script/story and acting though. A meteor crashes into central park, close enough to a couple and they dont notice it? No one does? This could have simply be rectified if the "Rami crew" took the story line from the animated series and have John Jameson bring it back from space...MJ connection, etc etc, but instead, we have something far fetched instead - I can live with it though. What I have more problems with is funny (somewhat) but completely unescesary moments that not only werent integral, but acually hurt the movie. Peter's "fashion show" walking down the street to music is dumb, (at least in 2, the "raindrops" sequence was short - although dumb) and then not only does Peter adopt an "emo" haircut but he can play piano and cut a rug? Come on now. This as well as MJ and Harry making omletes should have been left on the cutting room floor. Sandman is a great villian, and I understand that a character needs make "extra" motivation to go after a bad guy, but should he have been tied in with Uncle Ben's killing? No. SOrry, uh-uh, it doesn't work - espescially for the overall story line. To couple with this - Spider-Man/Peter Parker is not a killer, and even if he just "thought" he killed Sandman - this completely goes against his character. Sorry, Spider-man DOES NOT KILL. I don't care suit/alien symbiote taking him over or not, he doesn't kill. While is it nescesarry for Peter to remove his mask every 5 minutes? Is it in Tobey's contract? Speaking of which - get rid of Macquire at this point. He will never be known for the role as Christopher Reeve was for Superman. Not the same - not to us die-hards anyway. And while I'm at it, Kirsten Dunst is no MJ either - that should've been Bryce Dallas Howard (um...MUCH hotter than Dunst AND a natural redhead - DUH! You casting people and your "names"). Thomas Hayden Church and Topher Grace are GOOD in their roles respectively, but I kept wondering if maybe Church should've played Venom instead? By the end, it just gets plain ole' campy. I felt like I was watching a bad monster movie and then everyone cries and sacrifices themselves at the end. And while we're at it - keep the jesus paralles OUT OF COMIC MOVIES. It was done to DEATH in Superman returns (blatantly obvious) and in Spidey 2 with the train sequences. This, can we have MORE church shots and sacfrices - along with preaching? I mean seriously, enough is enough. If they're going to do a 4,5, and 6 as rumored - time for a new cast, writers, and director. 'Nuff said.

Best of three!!!! - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

Action packed with a simple plot. It was as comical as it was dramatic. Fills in the blanks for those only familiar with the movies. Great ending. My 4,5,6 year old irish twins stayed up til midnight to watch this one and all three boys dressed as spiderman for the show. I expected them to snooze through the last half but instead they were awake and excited til the end. No one fell asleep watching this movie. They were wide awake and yelling at the screen. Gotta see this one on the big screen. Be prepared for some cheese. After all it is a comic. Overall it was well worth the money, time and trouble to go see at midnight. Enjoy.

Horrid- i'm sorry but it's true. - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

This movie was so sloppy. It wanders around during the plot, it was sappy, the actors were lazy, the directing was horribly. The only good thing was the visuals but who cares at that point. I loved the first two and I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed because of high expectations - this movie was just a horrible piece of film. There was about 10 minutes of good stuff. ie. French restaurant and Peter on the phone asking forthe cookies and milk. Other than those 2 little scenes and some decent acting by Topher Grace or whatever his name is this movie was a trainwreck.

I think everyone is with me when i say wtf?!? - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

This movie killed all the other spiderman movies. For action it gets an A++ and for acting, well its not really the actors fault. But omg, this was pretty bad. I mean when the dark Peter came out with the black hair and eye liner, i waited knowing someone would say it, until i heard "HE'S EMO!!!!!!!!" the whole audience started bursting out laughing, and this was a full house. There were scenes when the actors were being dead serious, and the audience was laughing so hard. Full grown men infront of me were crying. That's how bad this was.

Sucked!! - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

I was bored and couldnt wait for it to end. Everytime I thought it would end, OMG there was another scene! Cliche after cliche after cliche.

So bad i had to write a review 2 warn you! - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

#1 They tried to do too much! Why do superhero movies feel so compelled to litter the screen with multiple villains? Venom by himself is interesting enough. Sandman by himself is interesting enough. Green Goblin when done well is very interesting enough. We do not need three villains at once. And guess what Hollywood you are incapable of delivering a good movie with this much going on. Keep it simple stupid! Add to the mix the whole ongoing MJ and Stacey thing and you have one awful patchwork of plots and subplots jammed into a 2 hour waste of time. Imagine taking the best Spidey comic books and cutting them up into one Frankenstein comic book with bits and pieces of each. That is Spiderman 3! The fight scenes were awful. Too dark could barely see. Way too much time spent fighting in the air. The story makes little sense 2 many coincidences throughout this patchwork. So and so just happens to be here and here ect. That's just weak amateur story telling. Because it is so crammed and rushed the way they make Peter flip to the darkside is too quick and too silly. Put down the copy of that musical please when writing Spidey. The pacing is so off. Because they crammed so much into it the pacing is like driving with your Grandma who stops and starts abruptly and randomly. I saw this movie done well once it was called Spiderman. Spiderman 3 is the same story. MJ is captured by the villain and we end in a cemetery. This was garbage. Save your money and your children!

What an upset!!! - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

Ever since seeing Spiderman 2 I had waited and waited with much anticipation for Spiderman 3. I was so disappointed. The story was too complicated with too many new characters and subplots. They tried to fit too much into one film. The acting was worse than normal, and I wasn't sure if the actors were trying to be that bad or if it just comes natural. The writers of the script made some weird choices when it comes to humor, and either this story was written REALLY badly, or the actors just couldn't pull off their characters while still staying in a character that aligns with the previous films. The visuals were great, as usual, but they can always improve. Overall, I stayed up till 2 in the morning to see this movie, and I was so disappointed. They really could have done so much better, and I feel like a sucker for going to see it. How much of this bull can they get away with while taking all of our money?

Spiderman tangled in his own web.... - Spider-Man 3 Reviews

This movie fails in so many ways. I'll first start off that im a huge fan over the series so far as well as the comics. From the opening credits, this film lacked the engery and charisma as the two previous movies. The story was slow and focused too much on the three plots(Peter and Mary Jane/ Peter and Harry/ Peter and Flint,Eddie) going in every which direction. The main cause of this was trying to overdue the two previous movies with more effects, more story, more characters. There simply wasnt enough time to cram all of these elements into this movie. Sadly the acting wasnt very good either. Toby and Kirsten didnt do a good job at making us believe the story. Too much "ups and downs" as far as the personallity and where the characters were headed. No one had time to make us believe the characters. Such as Kirsten in Spiderman 2 going from the last scene to head over heels for Peter, into Spiderman 3 being wrapped up in herself and constantly negative. The consistency isnt there between the characters and thus makes for a long, drawn out movie that you fall out of interest in. I heard previous upon one of the first screenings in the middle of last year that fans said there wasnt enough action involved and too much story... VERY CONCERNING that this movie felt like the same thing, so what happened in the year they had to resolve that and all of the reshoots they did????? Overall, this movie is worth watching BUT i wouldnt even compare it in the series. Very cheesy dialogue, at times very fake visuals, and no substance to the characters.
